Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he is frustrated by additional aviation-related costs tied to a used 2016 Bombardier Challenger 650 jet purchased for his use. The province bought the jet earlier this year and later pledged to sell it after public outcry. Ford said the province sold the jet to Bombardier for the same amount as the purchase price. Documents released by the premier’s office show taxpayers still face more than $190,000 in aviation-related costs. The NDP urged Ford to personally pay the bill, but Ford did not commit to repaying it when asked. He said he prides himself on saving taxpayers money and that the extra cost frustrates him.
