Man and woman (80s) found dead in a house in Cork

A tragic discovery was made in Glounthaune village, Cork, where two bodies, a man and a woman in their eighties, were found deceased at their residence. Gardaí responded to the incident and sealed off the area for a technical examination. Authorities have indicated there is no indication of foul play, and the Coroner has been notified. The deceased have been transported to Cork University Hospital for postmortem examinations, with their results expected to guide the ongoing Garda investigation.
Gardaí attended the scene and two bodies were located in the house, one man and one woman aged in their eighties, both deceased.
The scene is preserved for technical examination, and it is understood there is nothing to suggest foul play.
