Cause of death revealed for Victoria Jones, who died at SF's Fairmont hotel
"Officials determined that Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, died on Jan. 1 in San Francisco of "toxic effects of cocaine," several media outlets reported Tuesday. Jones' death was ruled an accident, the San Francisco's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told People. The 34-year-old was was found just before 3 a.m. in the hallway of the Fairmont hotel after an employee called 911 on New Year's Day."
"The initial 911 call was for a report of cardiac arrest/apnea, Lt. Mariano Elias, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department, previously told SFGATE. Medics rendered aid but Jones was declared dead at the scene. Jones' family released a statement shortly after death, according to TMZ, asking for privacy. "We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you," the statement read."
