"Two suspects were arrested on Sept. 13 after they were tracked to a casino in Middletown. Law enforcement said officers found a firearm in the car of one suspect that was used in the robbery. After the arrests were made, law enforcement realized that the stepmother of one of the suspects had worked as a house cleaner at the home."
"Valencia said the investigation into the case is ongoing and more individuals may be arrested. The 52-year-old woman was detained by deputies on Oct. 1 and later arrested on multiple charges, including kidnapping, robbery, elder abuse and assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked in the Sonoma County Jail, where she remains in custody with bail set at $1,000,000."
On Sept. 12 at about 4:15 a.m., three masked and armed people entered a Sonoma home on the 3000 block of Wood Valley Road. They restrained and threatened an older couple and a third person, demanded valuables, and struck one occupant with a blunt object before fleeing with thousands of dollars in jewelry and other items. Two suspects were arrested Sept. 13 at a Middletown casino; officers found a firearm in a suspect's car believed used in the robbery. Investigators later identified a 52-year-old woman who had worked as a house cleaner at the home and arrested her Oct. 1 on multiple charges; bail was set at $1,000,000 and the investigation is ongoing.
