
Police from the 104th Precinct arrested Jeferson Tipantuna, 25, of Bushwick, for an alleged rape at knifepoint in a Ridgewood apartment on May 9. The criminal complaint states that he demanded the 22-year-old victim undress and have sex. After she refused, he allegedly produced a boxcutter, held it to her chest, and forced her to perform oral sex. During a struggle, he allegedly cut her finger with the boxcutter. He then allegedly raped her vaginally and fled. EMS transported the victim to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Officers found Tipantuna nearby still holding the boxcutter, recovered the weapon, and arraigned him with bail set at $25,000 cash and $50,000 bond.
"According to the criminal complaint, on the morning of May 9, Tipantuna was in the 22-year-old victim's apartment in the vicinity of Seneca Avenue and George Street in Ridgewood when he demanded she undress and have sex with him. When she refused, Tipantuna allegedly pulled out a boxcutter and held it to her chest and forced her to perform oral sex on him. When the victim tried to knock the boxcutter out of Tipantuna's hand, a struggle ensued and he cut her finger with the boxcutter."
"He proceeded to rape the victim vaginally before fleeing her residence, according to the complaint. EMS transported the victim to an area hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. When cops from the 104th Precinct spotted him nearby after he had fled the victim's apartment, he still had the boxcutter in his hand. He dropped in on the ground when ordered to and police recovered the weapon."
"Jeferson Tipantuna, 25, of Bushwick, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court the next day on a criminal complaint charging him with two counts of rape in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, assault in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned before Queens Criminal Court Judge Micahel Hartofilis who set bail at $25,000 cash and $50,000 bond."
