Brooklyn Cops Seek Suspect In Greenpoint Forcible Touching Spree
"Brooklyn detectives are looking for a man they say groped two women in Greenpoint on Saturday, releasing surveillance stills and asking neighbors to help put a name to the face. According to police, the suspect first grabbed a 24-year-old woman's breasts and buttocks over her clothing. In a separate encounter not long after, he allegedly pressed his groin against a 25-year-old woman's buttocks, then took off on foot. Both incidents happened within the 94th Precinct, which covers Greenpoint and part of northern Brooklyn, officers said."
"In a post from NYPD Crime Stoppers on X, the department labeled the case "WANTED FOR A FORCIBLE TOUCHING" and shared still images along with brief descriptions of the incidents. The post urges anyone with information to call 1-800-577-TIPS or the Spanish line 1-888-57-PISTA, or to submit tips through Crime Stoppers. Tips that lead to an arrest and indictment may qualify for a reward of up to $3,500, officials noted."
"Investigators in the 94th Precinct, which serves Greenpoint and northern Brooklyn, are leading the probe, according to the NYPD 94th Precinct page. Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance images, or who has their own video or photos from the area, to come forward so they can identify and locate the suspect."
"Under New York Penal Law §130.52, forcible touching means someone "forcibly touches the sexual or other intimate parts of another person" in order to degrade that person or to satisfy the offender's own sexual desire."
