84th Precinct: Teens arrested for allegedly stealing straphanger's bag * Brooklyn Paper

"A group of four teens were arrested on Sept. 4 after they allegedly snatched a woman's bag on the subway. According to police, the victim, an 18-year-old woman, was watching videos on her phone as she rode the Manhattan-bound F train from Fort Hamilton Parkway. The teens boarded the train at Smith-9th Streets at 9:30 p.m., and one asked to borrow the victim's vape, which she agreed to."

"But the perp would not give the vape back, cops said, and when the train pulled into the Jay Street-MetroTech station, the teens grabbed the victim's bag and ran out of the train. She followed them, and found her bag abandoned on upper level - without her wallet, which had been inside. Police quickly found the suspects at the corner of Jay and Fulton streets, and cuffed all four for robbery."

"An angry passenger attacked a subway conductor inside the Borough Hall station on Sept. 5. The victim told police that the perp, standing on the platform outside the train asked her for directions at about 12:30 p.m., but was unsatisfied by her response. He then entered the train and kicked the door to the conductor's car, striking the conductor in the back, and walked into another car on the same train. The conductor contacted her supervisor, who called the police."

Four teenagers were arrested on Sept. 4 for robbing an 18-year-old woman on the Manhattan-bound F train after one asked to borrow her vape and refused to return it; the group grabbed her bag at Jay Street-MetroTech and abandoned it upstairs without her wallet. Police located and arrested the suspects at Jay and Fulton streets. On Sept. 5 a passenger attacked a subway conductor at Borough Hall after an unsatisfactory exchange about directions, kicking the conductor's car door and striking her. Officers and EMS met the conductor at the next stop but did not find the assailant. On Sept. 3 an officer recovered an allegedly stolen iPhone 14 Pro after a thief grabbed it near Bond and Livingston and damaged the screen.
