Martina the Beautiful Cockroach adapts a Cuban folktale about a 21-day-old cockroach named Martina Josefina Catalina Cucaracha who wants to marry. Martina evaluates potential suitors including a pig, lizard, rooster and mouse while her grandmother prescribes a "coffee test" to judge a husband. Peninsula Youth Theatre students ages 4 to 20 perform the production at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Performances occur Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20. Each performance is followed by a live talk with the cast.
