"Small-batch bicycle maker Sklar Bikes has taken a great bike and made it even better, and today introduces the new SuperSomething, a beautifully refined update of their beloved gravel/all-road frameset. The SuperSomething has been reimagined with increased tire clearance, refined geometry, and a desire to explore. Drawing on years of experience in custom framebuilding, listening to what riders truly want, and obsessing over upgrade options, Sklar has shaped the new SuperSomething to be a lifelong favorite."
"Redesigning the SuperSomething is quite an undertaking, as the first version was already a banger, and the design philosophy that informed this revision was fueld by a decade of custom frame building experience and rider feedback. As designer Adam Sklar explains, the bike exists "about 60% of the way along the gravel bike spectrum - from tarmac to mountain bike - offering a confident balance of speed, agility and confidence-inspiring capability.""
The SuperSomething V2 is a refined gravel/all-road frameset with increased tire clearance, updated geometry, and a focus on versatility. The redesign draws on a decade of custom framebuilding experience and rider feedback to balance speed, agility, and confidence-inspiring capability. The new frame features a slightly longer front end, zero toe-overlap, and clearance for tires up to 700×52mm or 29×2.1. Sklar’s approach emphasizes functional fun and upgradeability, building on previous models like the Performance Basket Jammer (PBJ) while blending modern trends with beloved elements of past bicycle design to encourage exploration and community.
