Tadej Pogacar's Race-Ridden Colnago V5Rs Sells for 70,000

A Colnago V5Rs used by Tadej Pogačar at the 2025 Ardennes Classics sold for €70,000 at auction. The auction campaign positioned the bike as a museum-like object rather than a typical used race machine, including historical and cultural framing filmed at the Museo del Ghisallo and involvement of former pro Matt Stephens as an “art critic.” The auction featured late bidding that extended the closing window multiple times, ending with 44 bids from nine bidders and a winning bid from Switzerland. The bike’s value was supported by full authentication with Colnago, restoration to post-race condition, and direct provenance tied to Pogačar, including a Tadej-only ceramic bottom bracket.
