How Winning This Handmade Bike Also Builds Better Trails
"For every $10 donation made between nowand September 30, 2025, supporters are entered for a chance to win a custom handmade mountain bike built by one of the industry's most respected fabricators. The winner can choose their preferred builder, receive a custom paint job, and enjoy a dream bike build outfitted with high-end components from Paul Components, White Industries, and WTB."
"This year's fundraiser will help fund major projects, including expanding SBTS's footprint south toward Truckee and east toward Reno, while also pioneering new methods to build fire-hardened trails, a critical step in wildfire mitigation and sustainable trail design. Donations will also bring the community closer to completing the Beckwourth Peak Trail, a 13-mile non-motorized loop beginning at Portola City Park (home of the Lost and Found Gravel Festival)."
The Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship (SBTS) partnered with renowned custom framebuilders for the Builders for Builders trailbuilding fundraiser. Donors receive one raffle entry for every $10 contributed through September 30, 2025, and the winner may select a preferred builder, custom paint, and top-tier components from Paul Components, White Industries, and WTB. All donations flow directly into Lost Sierra trail projects, mirroring the SBTS "5 Bucks a Foot" approach. The initiative has raised over $100,000 to date. Funds will support expansion toward Truckee and Reno, development of fire-hardened trails, and completion of the 13-mile Beckwourth Peak Trail loop.
