Deutsche Bahn is expanding its international rail network with enhanced services to Belgium starting June 2026. Additional high-speed ICE trains will operate between Cologne Central Station and Brussels, increasing daily return journeys to nine. The summer service includes stops in Leuven and Brussels-North station. New weekend routes connect Cologne to popular tourist destinations including Ghent, Bruges, and Ostend on the North Sea coast, with the Cologne-to-Ostend journey taking approximately three and a half hours. A direct service to Brussels Airport will launch later in the year. Deutsche Bahn collaborates with Belgian operator SNCB to facilitate these cross-border expansions.
