Bayern Munich to play two matches in preseason tour of Asia
"Rouven Kasper stated, 'It speaks volumes that FC Bayern will be undertaking its tenth Audi Summer Tour overseas. In football, the number '10' stands for creating momentum and setting the direction and pace.'"
"'Internationalisation is essential for the whole of German football to continue to develop - and FC Bayern has been a pioneering force in this field for years.'"
"'Around a billion people follow FC Bayern, a good half of whom are from Asia. We are very much looking forward to this trip.'"
Bayern Munich's tenth Audi Summer Tour will take place in Far East Asia from August 1 to August 8. The team will play two preseason friendlies, starting with Jeju SK in South Korea on August 4, followed by a match against Aston Villa in Hong Kong on August 7. FC Bayern board member Rouven Kasper emphasized the importance of internationalization for German football and the club's global fanbase, particularly in Asia. This tour marks Bayern's third visit to Asia in four years, continuing a long history of matches in the region.
