The galloping My Lucky Pony is from designer Stephanie Mufson, owner of Parade Guys, which builds the floats you see every year in the Chinese New Year Parade."
Year of the Horse statues have been installed across San Francisco to celebrate the Lunar New Year, appearing in parks, markets, and public spaces. Lunar New Year begins Tuesday, February 17, and the SF Chinese New Year Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 7. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce commissioned the Year of the Horse on Parade statues and placed them at multiple city locations. The Lakeshore Lucky Supermarket displays My Lucky Pony by Stephanie Mufson, decorated with oranges, orchids, lilies, and Heinekens. Robin (Deyi) Zhao’s Kinetic Pop appears at Chase Center's Thrive City with lucky envelopes and team colors. Statues will remain on display for the Lunar New Year celebration season.
