"Pan African Flag For The Relic Travellers' Alliance (Motion) and Pan African Flag For The Relic Travellers' Alliance (Community)."
A pan-African flag by British Ghanaian artist Larry Achiampong temporarily replaced a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in the UK Foreign Office. Two appliqué works from Relic Traveller: Phase 1 reconfigure the red, yellow, black, and green pan-African flag and include 54 stars, one for each African country. The series connects rising nationalism in the global West and Brexit to African Union passport and continental-integration developments. The works are listed on the Government Art Collection website. One of the flags has been removed and the Queen's portrait placed in storage. Conservative politicians and tabloids criticized the display, generating public attention.
