The New York Jets Will Now Try Being "AI-First" | Defector
The New York Jets have struggled on the field under Woody Johnson’s ownership, with poor performance and no interceptions recorded over a 17-game season. Despite limited results in wins, the organization has focused on integrating video game-style rankings and disruptive patrician antics into front-office processes. Iwao Fusillo, Chief Analytics and Data Officer, joined in January after a corporate career and reported early progress. He said 91% of the front office uses Microsoft Copilot day to day, up from a handful about 100 days earlier, with users averaging two to three prompts per day. Fusillo described this as “level one” or “horizon one,” meaning adoption rather than major business gains yet.
