Social media is being slammed by deceptive AI videos. Here's how to spot them
"Sora2 is the latest video AI model from OpenAI. The system generates completely artificial short videos from text, images, or brief voice input. Since October 2025, there has also been API access that developers can use to automatically create and publish AI videos. As a result, the number of artificial clips continues to grow every day. Many of them look astonishingly real and are almost indistinguishable from real footage for users."
"Unnatural movements and small glitches AI models still have problems with complex movement sequences. Watch out for: unnaturally flexible arms or body parts Movements that stop abruptly or are jerky Hands or faces that flicker briefly or become deformed People who disappear briefly in the picture or interact incorrectly with objects Such distortions are typical artefacts that still occur in AI videos."
Sora2 generates artificial short videos from text, images, or brief voice input, and API access since October 2025 has driven rapid growth in generated clips. Many Sora2 videos appear almost indistinguishable from real footage for users. Reliable detection focuses on visual anomalies: unnatural or jerky movements, flexible or deformed limbs, flickering faces or hands, and subjects disappearing or interacting incorrectly with objects. Background instability, changing object shapes, unreadable text, and implausible lighting often reveal generation. Many generated clips are very short, typically three to ten seconds. Verification questions or additional checks can expose scams and deepfakes.
