Lloyds Bank claims Microsoft Copilot saves 46 minutes a day
"We quickly identified the transformative impact that AI could deliver across our organisation, and over the last few years have put in place the assurance frameworks and tools we need to deploy AI safely and at scale. "With these foundations in place, we're reimagining how we operate by embedding AI across our business to drive smarter decisions, faster outcomes and better experiences."
"The integration of AI into financial services is not just about adopting new technology; it's about reimagining the entire banking experience."
"The "golden rule," is to "never use the output without checking it.""
A survey of 1,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot users among nearly 30,000 deployed licenses found reported average savings of 46 minutes per employee per day. Almost 5,000 engineers use GitHub Copilot. Reported use cases include drafting and summarizing emails, transcribing meetings, comparing documents to group standards, drafting legal clauses, undertaking due diligence, and creating complex Excel formulas. Conversion of 11,000 lines of code across 83 files was completed in half the expected time. Plans include creating bots and agents for repetitive data tasks and expanding AI into customer-facing processes. AI outputs sometimes contain errors, so human checks remain necessary. Assurance frameworks and tools are in place to deploy AI safely and at scale and to embed AI across operations to drive smarter decisions and faster outcomes.
