"At the Future of Food event held on Canada's Ag Day, federal agriculture minister Heath MacDonald announced a new coalition of over 20 organizations pledging a combined $5 billion earmarked for investment and growth of Canadian agriculture and food innovation by 2030. Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is leading the coalition, a milestone reflecting "a generational investment opportunity in Canada's agriculture and food sector.""

A coalition of over 20 organizations led by Farm Credit Canada (FCC) pledges a combined $5 billion for Canadian agriculture and food innovation by 2030. The pledge leverages FCC Capital's May 2025 commitment of $2 billion by 2030 and FCC Capital is on track to deploy $325 million during its fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. Combined commitments equal $7 billion of new investment by 2030. Investments will target innovative Canadian businesses, construction and project finance, and early-stage ag‑tech companies to deliver breakthroughs directly to producers and expand Canada's capacity to scale world‑leading agriculture and food innovation.
