Grain Farmers of Ontario opens applications for 2026 Legacy Scholarship
"Applicants must submit a resumé, a letter of reference, and a 500 to 1,000-word essay outlining their interest in their chosen field of study, how their career goals will benefit Ontario's grain sector or agri-food industry, and why Grain Farmers of Ontario should support their academic journey. Proof of enrolment is also required. Applications must be submitted by July 19, 2026."
Grain Farmers of Ontario opened applications for its Legacy Scholarship program in its fifth year. The scholarship supports students pursuing post-secondary education in fields that will contribute to the future of Ontario’s grain sector and agri-food industry. It is open to students accepted or currently enrolled in any accredited college or university program, including disciplines such as science, technology, business, communications, and public policy. Up to ten scholarships of $5,000 each are awarded annually, with up to five available for students in non-agriculture-specific studies. Applicants must be permanent Ontario residents, enrolled full-time for the Fall 2026 semester, and provide a résumé, a reference letter, an essay, and proof of enrolment. Applications close July 19, 2026.
