Stephen B. Ashley donated $55 million to establish the Ashley School of Global Development and the Environment at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The new school will combine the college's existing departments of global development and natural resources to integrate agricultural, life, environmental and social sciences. The initiative aims to foster discovery, experiential learning, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration to produce scientific breakthroughs and economic benefits for New York state and beyond. Ashley is a Cornell alumnus with an MBA, chairman and CEO of The Ashley Companies, and has served on university councils, the Far Above campaign and the Board of Trustees.
