"AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Leon Goretzka, and are keeping contacts alive to see if they can pull off the coup. Goretzka's fate was sealed last month when Christoph Freund - a director at Bayern Munich - did a press conference held together with coach Vincent Kompany, in which he confirmed that Goretzka will bid farewell to the German club. Goretzka, who is much maligned among Bayern Munich fans, appears to have some excellent clubs looking at him."
"We saw him at Bayern Munich playing in the cup for Leipzig and he's good. He's really good, but he has to develop. €100m will be too much for this summer. It's a price Premier League clubs can play, City, Liverpool and United. I think they can afford him, but Bayern can't afford him at this point because Luis Diaz is the man on the left wing."
Leon Goretzka will leave Bayern Munich this summer after a confirmation by Christoph Freund and Vincent Kompany. AC Milan maintain contact and interest in signing Goretzka. Goretzka has faced heavy criticism from Bayern fans but still attracts interest from strong clubs. Concerns exist over his recent inactivity and how that may affect transfer demand. Bayern Munich have scouted young winger Yan Diomande, but a reported €100m valuation, attributed to Oliver Mintzlaff, may be prohibitively expensive for Bayern. Premier League clubs are suggested to be better placed to meet such a fee given their financial resources.
