Student rushed to hospital after 'hammer attack' at south London school
Briefly

A 15-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after allegedly being struck over the head with a hammer at a school in south London... Eyewitnesses claim the pupil was left bleeding on the floor after being bludgeoned by another student during an altercation on Thursday afternoon.
Headteacher Julian Sparks confirmed the incident in an email to parents... the victim has, thankfully, been given the all clear by medics. Police were called to reports that a pupil had been struck over the head with a hammer by another pupil at a school in Lilleshall Road, Morden.
One parent said her daughter came home literally traumatized after witnessing the attack... Several parents criticized school officials for not informing them sooner about the incident, and others kept their children home on Friday due to safety concerns.
