The National Crime Agency (NCA) warns travelers coming to the UK from Thailand, Canada, and the US about severe penalties for cannabis smuggling, highlighting a significant increase in arrests.
So far this year, 378 individuals have been arrested related to cannabis smuggling, with approximately 15 tons of the drug seized at UK airports, a figure tripling previous totals.
Authorities stress that many couriers are misled by traffickers, believing that the UK will be lenient on cannabis smuggling, yet the law is firm and vigilant.
