Biden proposed debates in June and September, much earlier than the usual October dates, to allow voters to make their choice before early voting begins, with microphones cutting off after each candidate's allotted time and no live audience.
On Wednesday morning, Biden accepted an invitation from CNN for a debate on June 27, and Trump quickly accepted as well, moving forward without involving the Commission on Presidential Debates.
