The Braves are coming off a tough series in Seattle, where they dropped two of three games. The offense was quiet for the majority of the series, but nevertheless, the Braves enter play with a 20-9 record and a half-game division lead.
The series gets underway late Friday night at 10:10 ET. Charlie Morton is slated to take on right-hander Gavin Stone. Morton has been brilliant his last two outings, giving up just two runs on eight hits in 13 frames. He is seeking his third win of the season.
The series finale is set for Sunday afternoon at 4:10 ET. Max Fried returns to the mound against lefty James Paxton. Fried has been incredible as of late, coming off of a scoreless outing in Seattle, and a Maddux against the Miami Marlins. Paxton, however, has allowed eight runs over his last three starts and walked plenty.
