The attack on Dropbox Sign resulted in unauthorized access to users' emails, usernames, phone numbers, hashed passwords, and authentication information. Some third parties not even having accounts also had their email addresses and names exposed. No evidence found of accessing user account contents or payment information.
Dropbox Sign's infrastructure being largely separate from other services could be the reason other Dropbox products remained unaffected. Despite the positive aspect of this separation, the incident raises concerns about the security and protection of user data, especially following a major cyber attack.
