Manchester City striker Erling Haaland scored twice in the second half against Tottenham to send the three-time defending champions two points clear of second-place Arsenal with one game left to play.
City's win also meant Aston Villa secured fourth place and qualification for the Champions League ahead of Tottenham in fifth.
