French connection: how post-war Paris lured US artists

The show includes more than 130 works made in Paris by around 70 artists... Others were drawn by Paris's sense of freedom.
Others, such as Carmen Herrera, Joan Mitchell and Claire Falkenstein, were drawn by the great European city's sense of freedom... With this exhibition, the curators want 'to show that it was much more diverse than just the people that art history recognized,' Gumpert says.
