Report: Bayern Munich "will do everything possible" to battle Chelsea FC for Brazilian wonderkid
Briefly

Chelsea and Bayern are competing for the signing of Palmeiras winger Estêvão Willian (17). Both clubs are expected to make bids for the player at the end of the season. Chelsea are currently leading the race, but sources confirm that Bayern 'will do everything possible to try to sign the player', whom they have been following since the beginning of the year. First contacts between Bayern and Palmeiras have already taken place. The Brazilian side are looking for around €40m plus bonuses. Real Madrid and [ FC Barcelona] are out of the race.
Bayern are planning to outbid Chelsea for Estêvão Willian. The German club's offer is expected to reach €60m in total, between fixed fee and add-ons. Chelsea have already offered €35m fixed plus €25m add-ons. Both clubs are willing to pay a fixed amount lower than the €45m release clause, but with bonuses that exceed the clause.
That price tag is steep, and the odds do not seem high. But this could mark a welcome shift in strategy for the Bavarians in dipping into the South American pool of youth talent again...something current Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen has done in recent years with the likes of Paulinho, Exequiel Palacios, and others.
