GitHub - Heydon/principles-of-web-accessibility: How to approach accessible web interface design
Briefly

The article discusses the complexities and misconceptions surrounding accessibility in design, emphasizing that complete accessibility is unattainable. It critiques the notion that accessibility can be achieved through overlays or options rather than inherent design principles. The author argues for the importance of creating products with accessibility integrated from the beginning rather than as an afterthought, stressing the need for comparable experiences for diverse users. The author also highlights that certain design decisions can unintentionally alienate users and calls for transparency and commitment to improve accessibility within existing constraints.
Nothing is-nor can be-100% accessible. Anyone who claims their offering is completely accessible is a liar, or they don't understand accessibility, or both. Usually both.
If an interface offers the option to enable accessibility, it is inaccessible. A low-contrast switch that turns on high contrast? Game over. Categorically, accessibility overlay software does not and cannot work.
