DePasquale calls for halt to children testifying in-person against alleged abusers

One of DePasquale's main recommendations is additional training for bureau administrative law judges, who, he said, are unprepared to deal with traumatized children.
"During the appeal hearing process, some children are forced to sit face-to-face with their accused abuser and recount the abuse they suffered," DePasquale said in a subsequent release."This terrifying experience puts children at risk of being re-traumatized, which can have lifelong consequences."
