"The 25-year-old man who died after an incident in Norwood Saturday actually sustained injuries from a sharp object, not a gunshot wound, officials said. Anton C. Dowling, of Boston, was identified as the man who died at a Needham hospital from what emergency room doctors initially believed to be a gunshot wound, the Norfolk County District Attorney said in a release."
"An autopsy showed he instead died from injuries sustained from a sharp object, the DA said. Norwood police responded to the area of 9 Hoyle St. around 2 p.m. Saturday after a 911 call came in "requesting assistance," the DA said. Dowling was found with injuries and transported to a Needham hospital. At the time, Norwood Police Chief Christopher Padden said there was no threat to the public."
