
Elgin City dismissed men’s first-team manager Allan Hale with immediate effect after an internal investigation found gross misconduct. The club conducted the investigation under its policies and procedures and confirmed the dismissal following its conclusion. Hale had been suspended before the dismissal, and assistant Stefan Laird was promoted to acting manager on 11 May. The suspension occurred four days earlier. Hale had taken charge in December 2023 and previously managed Highland League clubs Huntly and Keith. Elgin finished sixth in Scotland’s fourth tier under his management.
