The 40th anniversary of the Montgomery County Senior Games began in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, with more than 400 participants. Competitors took part in 20 events held at locations across Montgomery County, a suburb of Philadelphia. Events included pickleball, golf, mini golf, horseshoes, running, stationary bike, softball throw, football throw, walking, and other activities. The games aimed to keep residents happy and active through healthy competition, camaraderie, friendship, and a fun week of games and food. An 82-year-old participant from Graterford said a bad day at the Senior Games is still better than a good day at work. A health and vendor expo occurred on the final day, and participants left with opportunities to improve for next year.
"Athletes were treated to a health and vendor expo on the last day of the competition. And medal or not, it's safe to say all went home with a happy and healthy fun week with times aplenty to improve on next year.
