More than 15,800 people killed in Russia's all-out war on Ukraine: UN
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, 15,850 people have been killed in Ukraine, including 791 children. Actual casualty figures are likely significantly higher. Peace talks between Ukraine and Russia have stalled, despite US President Donald Trump’s mediation efforts and a recent three-day ceasefire that ended as fighting resumed. Russian attacks on Tuesday killed at least six people, including a 15-year-old boy in Pryluky after a ballistic missile strike. In Sumy region, drone attacks killed two people in Hlukhiv and at least one person in Buryn, with another injured. In Belgorod region, a Ukrainian drone attack killed two people and injured six. Russia reported intercepting and destroying 70 Ukrainian drones, including drones aimed toward Moscow.
"The United Nations has said 15,850 people, including 791 children, have been killed in Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion of the neighbouring country in February 2022. The actual figures are likely significantly higher, Kayoko Gotoh, Europe and Central Asia director of the UN's Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), told the UN Security Council on Tuesday."
