New York City will hold a lottery allowing residents to purchase $50 tickets for the 2026 World Cup. One thousand tickets at that price will be available for New York City residents, with 150 tickets allocated for each of five group stage matches and two knockout matches at MetLife Stadium, which will be rebranded as NYNJ Stadium. Ticket buyers will also receive free roundtrip bus rides. Entrants must be at least 15 years old and can apply once per day starting Monday at regnyctix.com, with a daily cap of 50,000 entries. Winners will be selected at random and notified June 3, and each winner can buy two nontransferable tickets. The stadium will host multiple group matches, a Round of 32 game, a Round of 16 game, and the final on July 19.
