Pedro Pascal appears in a New Yorker mini interview and responds to questions about his public persona and entertainment preferences. He says he needs to give Bad Bunny a break and jokes about being very nice. He mentions receiving a framed gift from a dear friend and adds it to his list of memorable moments. When asked what TV show he wants adapted for the big screen, he suggests Game of Thrones and also mentions Friday Night Lights and Watchmen. He shares a little-known fact that he delivered pizza in college and later worked making pizza by learning from watching others. He also notes that many of his early jobs were service roles, including barista, waiting tables, and bartending, and that he was fired from some of them.
"Lately, a lot of people are reporting that their faith in humanity is riding entirely on whether or not Pedro Pascal is as nice as he seems. Even more nice. Okay. [Pedro laughs] I hope mine Is it just as nice as that. It was framed and given to me as a gift. Oh, that's so mean. That's nice. By a dear friend. I'm just adding it to my list of pinch me please moments. So thank you for that, New Yorker."
"What is another TV show that you would like to see adapted for the big screen? Game of Thrones? Game of Thrones. That's not been adapted for the big screen yet. That would be a great big-screen experience. The embarrassing thing is that the first two that came to mind are television shows that were adapted by movies. [both laughing] Oh. Mission Impossible. I was like, I would like to see the movie version of Friday Night Lights. [group laughs] I would like to see the movie version of Watchman."
"All right, The New Yorker famously loves facts. Share a little known fact about yourself or a cast member. I used to deliver pizza, there's a fact, when I was in college. I liked watching the skill of the pie man. That's a whole thing. I actually got a job making pizza, just learning from watching the pizza... The pie man make pizza."
"I wish I knew some of the odd jobs that Pedro had before he was successful as an actor. They were all service jobs, from barista, got fired, waiting tables, got fired, bartending, got fired. [Sigourney] Wow. Okay. The Star Wars universe is a beloved"
