
Kate Smith from Coláiste an Átha in Kilmuckridge received the National Poster Award at the Rubbish Film Festival. Her poster design was created for the short film Oblivious to It All, developed in partnership with Wexford County Council. Her work was selected from entries across the country and praised for originality and a strong connection to the film’s theme. Wexford County Council Cathaoirleach Joe Sullivan presented the special award. Coláiste an Átha principal Elizabeth Martin praised Kate for capturing the essence of the film and highlighted her involvement in the school’s art team, including a literacy mural project. Martin also congratulated the TY filmmaking team and noted Kate’s promising future in creative arts. The festival promotes creativity, sustainability, and youth filmmaking.
