Nintendo announced a $499.99 “Choose Your Game” Switch 2 digital bundle available earlier than planned. The Switch 2 console currently costs $449.99, and the bundle provides up to a $30 discount on one of three console-exclusive digital games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. On September 1, Nintendo will raise the standalone Switch 2 price from $449.99 to $499.99, citing changes in market conditions and a forecasted drop in global sales. Similar price increases have occurred across the video game industry, including a higher PS5 price and a second Xbox Series X and S price increase last September. The bundle is positioned as a strong deal before the increase.
