John and Theresa Breen of Ardee received the Excellence award 2025 and the MACE off-licence store of the year, with staff and customers credited for the achievement. The annual Dromin fundraiser takes place on July 11, with all proceeds in aid of Ardee Hospice Homecare. Mattock Rangers lotto numbers were 7, 8, 19, and 31, with a €12,900 jackpot not won; Hugh Donnelly won Match 3 and the next jackpot is €13,000 on Tuesday 26 May. A new coffee shop, Bean & Gone, opens at the rear of Donegans of Collon. Hunterstown Hooley is on June 27 at Oberstown Farm, and Ardee & Collon Church seeks new Eucharistic Ministers. The Ardee diocesan pilgrimage to Knock leaves on Sunday 31 May, and Blessing of the Graves events are on Sunday, Sept 6.
