RM visited a casual ramen restaurant in San Jose’s Japantown for dinner with friends shortly before BTS performed sold-out concerts at Stanford Stadium. A 17-year-old server, Audrey Cruz, noticed him while taking orders, realized he was RM, and confirmed it when he nodded. Cruz stayed focused on normal service, asking about the food and refills without treating him differently. RM ordered shio ramen and gyoza, enjoyed the meal, and his group accepted an extra dish after an order mix-up. Cruz later wrote him a note of thanks and said she looked forward to seeing him again that weekend, when she attended all three Stanford shows. BTS also ate at a Redwood City pizza restaurant multiple times during the Bay Area run.

Despite the fact that he was sitting in the front of the restaurant, no customers seemed to recognize him. He ordered shio ramen and gyoza, and looked like he enjoyed his meal - when Cruz messed up one of his friends' orders and brought a katsu curry ramen instead of a katsu curry rice, the group happily ate the extra dish too. “He was very sweet,” Cruz said."
