Doors Open Toronto grants visitors free access to over 160 sites this weekend | CBC News
Doors Open Toronto provides free access to more than 160 buildings across Toronto on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event features tours and talks celebrating architecture and the city’s cultural landscape under the theme “The world in a city.” Sites range from the Aga Khan Museum and the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant to the Netflix office. A sold-out 50th anniversary tour offers guided access to the CN Tower’s inner workings, including its hollow hexagonal core and 300-metre interior. The city map frames the theme around diversity, architecture inspired by other cultures, and buildings that function as community gathering spaces. Twenty-eight new sites are included, such as Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema, the Toronto Star office, and the Waterworks Food Hall, along with the Anishnawbe Health Toronto building, the GTA’s first Indigenous healthcare centre.
