A painting by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Cupid Complaining to Venus (1526–27), has a complicated provenance and was once in Adolf Hitler’s possession. A photograph showing the work in Hitler’s Munich apartment is reproduced for the first time in an English-language publication, with coverage tracing developments since the 1990s. Ajamu X’s Glamour Posse series from the early 1990s is featured as Work of the Week. The series appears in Gender Stories, a UK touring exhibition opening at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool on 16 May and running until 31 August.
