"Limoges Métropole has awarded Iveco Bus contracts covering the supply of between 33 and 85 electric buses for the TCL transport network in France. The city has been investing in Iveco Bus-made trolleybuses in the past. Iveco Bus announced on 11 May 2026 that it had secured two separate contracts linked to the electrification of the Limoges public transport network. The agreements include articulated and standard battery-electric buses, together with charging infrastructure and related system supervision services."
"Under the first contract, awarded to a consortium led by Iveco Bus together with Dalkia Electrotechnics, the manufacturer will supply between 20 and 45 articulated GX 437 Elec Linium electric buses. Outside France, the model is marketed as the E-Way 18-metre battery-electric bus. The contract also covers the sizing, deployment, commissioning and maintenance of charging infrastructure. Dalkia Electrotechnics will provide the electrical infrastructure, chargers and ABB E-mobility charging domes for on-route charging operations."
"A second contract includes the supply of 13 GX 337 Elec standard electric buses, with an option to increase the volume to 40 vehicles. The 12-metre model is also marketed internationally as the E-Way. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028 and continue over a four-year period. The articulated buses will be equipped with high-capacity batteries, an upward pantograph for opportunity charging and two depot charging sockets."
"According to Iveco Bus, the vehicles will accommodate more than 150 passengers, including 34 seated passengers and two wheelchair spaces. The specification also includes heat pumps, air conditioning, USB charging ports, passenger information displays and camera-based mirror systems. The GX 337 ELEC buses will feature three passenger doors, 23 seats and two wheelchair spaces. The vehicles will use seven battery packs and depot charging systems."
