Armenian Resistance fighter Manouchian joins France's Pantheon heroes
Missak Manouchian, an Armenian poet, is the first non-French Resistance fighter to be entombed in the Pantheon in France as a tribute to foreign communists who fought Nazis.
Manouchian and his comrades-in-arms from various nationalities are being honored for their bravery and sacrifice during World War II. [ more ]
