Google is shutting down a crucial feature for some businesses that have Business Profiles found via Google Search and Google Maps. On July 31, Business Profiles' call and chat history will be completely deleted, fading away in August. No new chats can be created starting July 15, allowing a 16-day period for existing chats to continue.
Google Chat within Google Workspace has seen improvements, with features like sending emails directly to Chat space and voice messages added. While intra-company conversations took a hit, intercompany discussions have been a focus for Google.
