Not only did the Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 8-4, but Ángel Hernández retired.
It will be interesting to see what the Giants do in Wade's absence: if they want an actual first baseman, their options are to call up David Villar, add Trenton Brooks, or seek someone from outside. They could also go the Blake Sabol direction.
The Giants will certainly have some questions as players return, both in terms of roster construction and playing time, especially if the young players keep performing well.
