Hall recently raised Purdy's success in rising to the 49ers' starting job in an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. "I'm surprised how fast it happened," Hall told Eisen. "But as far as his success, just knowing the type of person he is...the way he lives his life, how he is within his faith in God...his success now doesn't surprise me."
Purdy had similarly high praise for Hall when speaking to reporters in the week leading up to Week 1. "One of the most talented football players that I've ever shared the field with...Breece is one of the most talented guys," Purdy said. Seeing his development...was amazing.
