Among the findings, at least 18,800 people have been killed since April 2023, illustrating an "appalling level of shocking human rights abuses" by both the Sudanese Armed Forces and RSF.
Mohamed Chande Othman stated, "Given the failure of the warring parties to spare civilians, it is imperative that an independent and impartial force with a mandate to safeguard civilians be deployed without delay."
The report also highlights the RSF's ethnic violence, describing arbitrary killings and sexual violence against non-Arab communities, compounded by forced military recruitment of children.
